GNLC herdsires:
the vanguard of llama breeding

GNLC Hightower
GNLC Merlin x GNLC Silver Lining
Hightower is simply a majestic llama. He stands 48” at the withers, 78” at the poll, and at well over 400# he is just plain big. His ideal proportion, sturdy bone, stately presence and athletic movement make him an absolutely complete male.
Sired by Merlin and out of our most beautiful female, Silver Lining, Hightower has a proven pedigree. This exceptional breeding combination has produced six outstanding full siblings: Crocket, Rampart, Platina, Sabrego, Divina and Hightower.
In our online Herd Book you will find the Hightower daughters that we have kept. This year’s crias are shown in the Herd Book with their dams, and a few may appear on the Sales List. We are pleased that so many of his offspring are characterized by his extreme “type,” strong bone, presence and conformation, dressed with his intense colors and loose, silky/suri fleece.

GNLC Tesio
Sijama Ikandy x GNLC Lady Luck
Taken as a whole, Tesio is probably the most dramatic male we have produced in years. He is the finest result of the 2017 breeding season when our Hightower traded places with Sijama Llamas’ amazing, tall herdsire, Ikandy. Tesio is from the cross of Ikandy with one of our “queens.”
We were first enamored with Sijama Ikandy when Hightower showed against him in a double show as youngsters. The grand championship was split: they each took one, and a friendly rivalry began.
Tesio’s dam line goes back eight generations at our ranch. His dam, Lady Luck, is known for producing size while adding her exotic looks and gentle temperament. These attributes don’t come by accident; they follow all through this dam line, from Queenie and Ninko to Soul Shaker, who is Merlin’s giant, full sister and Tesio’s grand-dam.
Tesio stands 51.5” at the withers, 80” at the poll. He has a gentle yet confident demeanor, and we’ve never had a more easily trained llama. He was leading calmly and traversing our house decks within minutes of his first haltering.
